![]() Within 15 minutes, the hotel received a phone call that the driver had located it and would bring it back on his return to the area. After searching all over the hotel, we called Cancun Transportation and asked them if they had seen it. My wife accidentally left her phone in the car, and didn't realize she was missing it until about 2 hours after we were dropped off at the hotel. The driver was very courteous and wore a mask the entire time, and he sanitized our bags before placing them in the car. There was someone waiting outside the airport as described, and after checking in he called a car. There are many honest companies providing stellar service in Cancun, this is NOT ONE OF THEM.įor the price, this company can't be beat! We used this company to travel from the Cancun Airport to Playacar. ![]() This company is trash, terrible service and bad business all around. I was extremely frustrated and then had to secure transportation for my party while at the airport. The icing on the cake was the driver offering me a $16 discount to ride in the beat up van that he arrived in. Why on earth would you be accepting online bookings and taking payments for vehicles you do not have? The driver then proceeds to argue with me and say that there were no Luxury cars available. This was a case of the good old bait and switch. The driver proceeds to arrive 1.5 hours late in a beat up VW van. The day of arrival, I finally received a phone call confirming my pick up. I called 4 different phone numbers that were all disconnected. The day before I was scheduled to arrive, I had not received any correspondence or confirmation of pickup. The website states they will provide either a Suburban or Mercedes Sprinter Van. I booked a LUXURY car service weeks in advance to the tune of almost $200. THIS one was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I have used over a dozen different car service companies in Cancun. Let me start by saying, I travel to Cancun often. All in all, just a terrible experience.and a taxi, which were readily available the entire time, costs 20% less than we paid. We saw multiple flights of people come and go while we waited and my children sweated in their travel clothing. We got a beat up van and not a car that was shown on the booking page. The rep told the driver (in Spanish) to take us directly to our hotel and not pick anyone else up - strange as we booked a private transfer. We were finally picked up by the new driver at 5:42 after our flight arrived at 4:00. He told us that our driver did not have the security credentials to enter the airport, so they were going to have to send another. After 30 min we went to check with him and he said it would be 5-8 more, so after another 15 we checked again. He directed us to stand off to the side and wait for our driver. He had to look in a "system" for our names, so obviously was not waiting for us. ![]() We asked around and were directed to the rep, who was standing across the street, holding the CAT sign under his armpit. As we exited the airport, we saw literally dozens of people with signs bearing the names of the people they were picking up, but we did not see anyone from CAT. We had to give all of our flight info so they would know the time and we booked a private transfer, which implied we would get a fancy car etc. This was a 2nd terrible experience we had with Cancun Airport Transportation, booked through Trip Advisor. Rarely does one have absolutely not a single complaint about a service, but this is one of those times. We didn’t know that the service had to call ahead to give our hotel required information for both trips in order to have the gates opened to the resort, but this service did know that and there were no problems on either trip. Our driver for that return trip was a few minutes early and guided us to the correct spot for our check-in with Jet Blue. When we decided to change the pickup time for our return trip, we were able to do that easily and got a confirmation email in return. When we got to Cancun, we were able to wade through the dozens of drivers soliciting passengers and found our car waiting for us. They exceeeded our expectations in all regards. We crossed our fingers and booked through them, hoping for the best. This service offered a round trip in a private van/car for a reasonable price compared to several other companies. ![]() We looked through a number of reviews for various companies offering transportation from/to the airport in Cancun. ![]()
